Moving to DITO is a wise decision
In November 2024, we have decided not to continue subscribing to the fiber-optic Wi-Fi services of 2 different providers; DataConnect (then DCTech) and PLDT. The reason was that fiber-optic Internet is rife with financial corruption: charging excessively while their services have substandard quality. Since then, we fully returned to 4G/Long-Term Evolution as our primary method of connecting worldwide. I bought a 4G-based DITO prepaid Wi-Fi device via Shopee. That unit costs ₱980, so I reserved ₱1,000 to pay for the unit. I chose the DITO Wi-Fi device because the DITO mobile network is mostly free space, which means swifter downloads. On my mobile phone, DITO's download speed is up to 50 Mbps when conducted outdoors. Another reason for choosing DITO as the Wi-Fi choice is to decongest GLOBE and PLDT; given that GLOBE and PLDT are overcrowded, of course, the stress relief of their networks is overdue.
