Privacy opposition list

We may have heard of the proverb that all secrets will come out one day. This implies that privacy has an expiration date that ultimately must be obeyed. In other words, everything will become public. If we take a broader overview of the relations between human life and information control, we stumble upon an observation that the concepts of "censorship," "privacy," and "secrecy" are particularly beneficial to the living, but when the subject withdraws from the material world (or liquidates in the case of an organization), the benefits of information control start to fade, as public exposures do not afflict the departed. After a given time period, all infomation about a dead subject must be released into the public domain with zero exceptions. Conspicuously shouting out "personal details" about people who died thousands of years ago will have negligible effect on their living descendants.

Historians and archaeologists need unconditional access to the past in order to formulate accurate conclusions and show appropriate recommendations to future generations. So-called "privacy laws" or "secrecy laws" must ultimately conform to the reality of the human nature for publicity, as openness has been humanity's default and natural state for the last 200,000 years. Government charters or constitutions should have no mentions of "privacy" whatsoever, as constitutions contain broad and slow-changing principles but concept of "privacy" has consistently demonstrated itself to be too contextual and too turbulent for such a difficult-to-amend policy document.

Turns out that the human concept that is privacy is not as absolute as what mainstream or entrenched beliefs describe. While finding opposition to privacy is particularly difficult, we strive to find sources or articles that criticize the concept of privacy. Together, we can form arguments against the concept of privacy and possible devise alternative forms of data control. Aside from my views, here is a list of anti-privacy articles that I found across the web. Enjoy your reading!
