On the launching of Grokipedia

Grokipedia is intended to compete with
Wikipedia; verify Grokipedia articles
using Encyclopedia Britannica articles

In October 2025, communication and transportation magnate Elon Musk's company xAI masterminded the launch of Grokipedia, an artificial intelligence-powered Internet encyclopedia. Musk distrusts Wikipedia due to the website's ideological bias. Dr. Larry Sanger, Wikipedia's cofounder-turned-whistleblower, expressed support for Grokipedia. When you search Google for "Grokipedia," there is a message that says, "Did you mean Wikipedia?" This implies that Google senses competition from alternative encyclopedia projects. As it is in its early stages, we must remind you that Grokipedia contains errors and has yet to undergo significant revision and editing. If you are an expert in any field, we encourage you to contribute to Grokipedia and remove content that is suggestive of having been copied from Wikipedia.

Unreliability of Wickedpedia, a.k.a. Wikipedia

Wikipedia favors certain ideologies and life stances, such as liberalism, materialism, and atheism. In its articles, Wikipedia opposes alternative medicine and denies the nonmaterial aspects of reality. When you search Wikipedia articles on anything related to animal reproductive components, you can see highly revolting images and videos. On political scandals, Wikipedia amplifies the scandals of social conservatives and downplays those of liberals, regardless of the true colors of the scandals. As for its obvious ideological preferences, Wikipedia will never replace the more trusted Encyclopedia Britannica or even the also free and open-source Scholarpedia. Academic institutions discourage or prohibit the use of Wikipedia for academic projects due to concerns about threats of vandalism.
