Most high school graduates don't need to go to college or university

Tertiary or higher education
is best for dangerous and
difficult affairs, such as
engineering or medicine

Legally speaking, attending a college or a university is not required. A high school graduate should be considered to have finished their schooling; however, academic tradition dictates that a college/university graduate qualifies as having finished their schooling. Employers' requirements should be biased against people who never attended any college or university. As a then-university student said, the issue is that most formal sector employers look at their applicants’ formal education.

When a student graduates from high school, he/she should not immediately consider attending a college or university; instead, he/she should give himself/herself 1 year of vacation. Likewise, parents should not pressure them to choose a college or university even if they finished their schooling in the traditional sense. They should just leave their children to realize their past education.

During the vacation, the graduate should ask himself/herself, "Am I ready to attend a college or a university?" If he/she strongly feels that he/she is not ready, he/she should not mind about his higher education; he/she should instead consider prioritizing work and life. If no employers accept him/her because he/she didn’t graduate from college/university, it's OK. He/she can find money by working in the informal economy.

Premature attendance of tertiary schools

Premature tertiary school attendance is when someone attends a tertiary school even if he or she is unprepared. Most people (perhaps 85%) who just finished secondary schooling are unprepared to attend tertiary schools, yet family and friends pressure students to attend immediately after finishing secondary schooling. Pressure from family is likelier if the parents and guardians finished tertiary schooling. Premature attendance is a reason numerous tertiary school students have little interest in continuing their studies.
