Oppa and makae in nonstandard politics

Image
The oppa is a governing body or political organization that benefits, guides, serves, or directs another body or organization from a completely different political universe, the maknae . The sovereign state is the primary oppa meaning that it supervises, provides a platform, or exerts authority over all other political entities of other universes, and no such other polity is expected to look after it. Many political entities other than the sovereign state may serve as oppa , depending on the surrounding conditions and demands. Conversely, many political entities may become mankae ; reasons may include protection of existence, the need to learn more about the basics of leadership, or that the entity concerned is not designed to act by itself. Since the 1900s, the United States of America has been humanity's apex  oppa , the sole superpower in the governmental universe since December 1991. As the apex oppa , no other political organization is expected to solidly challenge or contai

Business favors social adaptable generalists

Image
Success in business demands sociability, adaptability, and endurance of unfavorable circumstances. I want to be in business, but I am unable to engage so I am weak in social skills. As the saying goes in the four-intelligence scale, people who have an average IQ but higher EQ and SQ are some of the world's most successful in life. In short, business favors people who are socially adaptable and emotionally resilient. I am not one of those people because the education system never trained me on how to socialize. The Collins English Dictionary defines business as work relating to the production, buying, and selling of goods or services. The Encyclopaedia Britannica (which means "British Encyclopedia" in Latin) defines a business organization as an entity formed for the purpose of carrying on commercial enterprise. Depending on how the underlying state curates its rules, a business organization

Scholarpedia: bridging the gap between academic research and public knowledge

Scholarpedia is a reliable encyclopedia Research companies and research-oriented academic institutions should encourage their researchers and students respectively to visit Scholarpedia , a general-purpose encyclopedia that deals with topics and issues of a highly academic, scientific, or technical nature. One environment's "fiction" is another environment's "reality"

Image
See also Materialism is metaphysical nationalism Reality hosts an infinite variety of essences. Our local environment shapes how we view "fantasy" and "reality." One person's fiction is another person's fact. To "imagine" is to infer foreign universes. "Fantasy" and "fiction" are rhetorical devices and magic words used to address people or things from foreign universes, with properties so alien to our packet of reality or universe. No "fiction" is ever pure because we "imagine" using what is in our universe. We may be actual in this universe, but certainly, we are another universe's "fictional characters." Fictional characters are simply people or living things in foreign universes. Loads of foreign universes are in the same place and time as our universe. We don't necessarily need the likes of hypersonic rockets

Defending the blogger, reserving the journalist

Image
Copied from a Facebook post by the page Stratmanjazho Montage showing journalists enduring a storm or typhoon I saw a post defending journalists while denouncing bloggers. And the photo in that post shows journalists enduring stormy weather and its effects. There is a quote attributed to the Rappler journalist Lian Buan that reads— "I've said this over and over again—you prefer vloggers and influencers now for your so-called unbiased content, but on our worst days as a nation, it's the journalists who will show up. Remember that." While the quote may say "vloggers," it means "bloggers" in general. A vlogger is a blogger who publishes his or her blog in video format, as the "v" in the word vlogger means "video blogger." Returning to the quote, it sounds like the journalist fails to recognize the benefits of bloggers. Such an action risks inflaming

Achievements, contributions, and purpose are Western constructs

Image
Quote by lanie (@melatoninlau) By default, everything simply exists. Achievements, contributions, and purpose are arbitrary constructs imposed on us generally to satisfy profit-based institutions and systems. We are human beings, not human doings. Our existence as humans is independent of any perceived recognition of value, especially by those who respect profit and status. Recognition of value is itself arbitrary, like clothing styles or paint colors. We should challenge the dominant system that believes in the social construct that is purpose and instead introduce values that respect the being of existence. Purpose-believers are nihilists in the way that they ignore or neglect people who are unable to entertain their criteria of "purpose." Many people are unable to entertain the constructs of "achievements" and "contributions" because some factor or force beyond their control is severely

The Legend of Zelda service and its implications on this universe

An implementation of an inference of a foreign person whom our universe calls "Link." The multiverse harbors various Hyrulean Links with different histories. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Zelda-TOTK) is a video game published by The Legend of Zelda (Zelda), a Nintendo gaming franchise. Across Zelda games, there is a playable character addressed under the moniker of Link. It is said that "Link" refers to several characters across Zelda games. Zelda games have a consistent plot: a human-like entity saving another human-like entity and defeating a terrorist. In Zelda-TOTK, there is a world, called Hyrule, with three playable layers: the Sky, the Surface, and the Depths. The entity labeled "Link" wakes up in something called Great Sky Island, a series of islands floating high above the Hyrulean ground. When the player completes 4 shrines, the "Link" can fall back to the Hyrulean ground, in particular a vast plain called Hyrule Field or
